The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 5 is Gender Equality. It aims to “achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”. They say “The world is not on track to achieve gender equality by 2030 and has been pushed further off track by the socioeconomic fallout of the pandemic. Women and girls remain disproportionately affected, struggling with lost jobs and livelihoods, derailed education, increased burdens of unpaid care work and domestic violence”

ReIgnite Programme
Ludgate's ReIgnite Programme supports women in West Cork who wish to return to work to rebuild their confidence, develop appropriate professional skills and ultimately support them to re-enter the workforce.

On International Women's Day each year we hold a women in business event. The event aims to inspire women in the work, sports and education.
